This is an example of how I use the excerpts and quotes from books to come up with meaningful items to use.
Brain Dump
I start by writing the word of what I am trying to understand in the middle of the page. Then I go through all my notes and start writing ideas that link back to the topic. As I start to do this, new ideas spring to life and I can start seeing everything grouped together and connected.
The Reward
Once I get it all mapped out, then I look at the areas grouped together and think what the best "sequence of steps" would be. I write them down, review them and now I have a framework that I can experiment with.
